Fr. Nelson Severino de Sousa, ss.cc., Putting into

(Fairhaven, Mass.) Father Nelson Severino de Sousa,
ss.cc., 46, who has been residing
with the SS.CC. community at Damien Residence for the past several weeks,
is making good progress in his English studies. Fr. Nelson’s native
language is Portuguese
and his second language is Spanish. He will remain with the community
for approximately the next six months. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Fr.
Nelson made his profession in January 1987 and was ordained August 15,
1992. He said that his stay
in the USA Eastern Province is one way to broaden his experience of the
Congregation beyond his home province and prepares him to be “more at
the disposal for the work of our Mission.”
