SACRED HEARTS’ MISSIONS

Our Sacred Hearts’ Brothers reach out to the needs of the poor and the marginalized throughout the province including ares in the Region of India and the Kingdom of Tonga. Their ministries include: caring for Hansen’s Disease patients in India; vocational training of men and women so they can become gainfully employed and provide for their families; building or renovating homes for the poor; and formation of men for religious life with the Sacred Hearts so they can continue the mission established by our founders in 1800. Your donation will keep these ministries available to those in need.

FORMATION OF MEN FOR RELIGIOUS LIFE WITH THE SACRED HEARTS

Formation of men for religious life with the Sacred Hearts means we can continue the mission established by our founders in 1800. We currently have eleven seminarians enrolled at Pacific Regional Seminary in Suva, Fiji. We have three men preparing for their initial vows at the Novitiate House in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Your donation for this program means we can provide for the formation of men called to religious life with the Sacred Hearts and perpetuate the mission of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in the U. S. Province.

CARE FOR OUR ELDERLY SACRED HEARTS’ BROTHERS

In their younger days, our elderly Brothers served the Church for humble stipends. There were no salaries, benefits nor pensions allotted to them. They gave little thought to planning for retirement. Their ministries relied on benefactors who supported and shared in their commitment of educating children and ministering to the poor in places like the Cook Islands, the Philippines, India, the Bahamas and Mexico. Your donation for this purpose will help us care for our elderly Brothers with dignity and grace.

 PROVINCIAL 300

The Provincial 300 donors provide a solid base of funding to assist our Sacred Hearts’ Brothers in our mission of proclaiming the mystery of God’s Love to the world especially the poor and the marginalized throughout the province. The Provincial 300 donor share in our commitment to witness our mission in the U. S., India, Tonga and Fiji. The Provincial 300 donor commits to an annual gift of $1,200 or more.
