MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to help end hunger in the greater Wareham/New Bedford area by: giving Handsfood to the needy, promoting education and hunger awareness in the community, and providing information to our clients regarding other community resources.

We welcome people of every age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, handicap, marital status, sexual orientation, or any status, including the homeless, without discrimination.

We collaborate with other organizations who share the mission to alleviate hunger in the area.

We are open to serve the public on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:30am to 12 noon.  Clients may visit the pantry every four weeks.  New clients are required to complete a short application and show proof of residency with picture ID with proper address.  Also, verification of all occupants residing in the home.  Verifications will be required annually.
We provide food to anyone living within our service area who comes to us for assistance.  We feed over 2000 people monthly. We are a client choice pantry allowing clients to choose from the foods available. No one is turned away.  We also provide referrals for other pantries and services the client may need.  (see brochure) January 2017 newsletter
